MG Motor India has come up with its first fully electric car that is – The “ZS EV”. The “Morris Garage`s ZE-EV” Car which is a 5 seat SUV is expected to launch on road in the starting of January 2020 in India, and it will be giving tuff competition to “Hyundai`s Kona EV”.
The India-version of ZS EV equipped with a 44.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack that enables it an ARAI-certified 340km range. means the car is going to a distance of 340 Km in on go after full charging.
Unlike Hyundai`s Kona the ZS EV comes with stylish cuts and curves. And alike MG`s Hector, the Grille will catch your attention which embeds the logo of MG`s at the center. You just have to push it to see the charging socket beneath it.
CHARGING TECHNOLOGY:
MG will provide mainly 3 charging methods for your Electric Vehicle that are:
- Portable Charger Along with Your Car: An onboard charging cable comes with your MG ZS EV that is plugged into any 15 A socket at your home, office or any location, which charges your MG ZS EV from 0-100% in 16-18 hours.
- AC Fast Chargers: Company installed 7.4 kW wall-mounted chargers that can be installed at your office or home or any other location of your choice. This method charges your car from 0 to 100% in 6-8 hours.
- DC Fast Chargers: With the 50 KW DC Super-Fast chargers installed at MG Dealerships are accessible, for all MG ZS EV owners to use, 24×7! Here you can charge up to 80% within 50 mins.
Besides these charging facilities, MG also provides its customers A Road Side Assistance (RSA) service in case you run out of charge.
PERFORMANCE:
The battery-powered synchronous motor can develop 141 bhp and 353 Nm of peak torque and it will also get over-the-air (OTA) technology. The battery system used in the ZS EV is IP67 certified which declares it water and dustproof.
